The Philadelphia Union fell to Nashville SC by a score of 1-0, thanks to a late penalty kick by Hany Mukhtar that sealed all three points for Nashville. The loss marked back-to-back defeats for the Union for the first time this season and saw them slip to third place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 12-5-4 (40 points). As has been the case in recent games, the Union have lacked meaningful chance creation, and with the chances they do create, they’ve failed to put the ball in the back of the net. Danley Jean Jacques and Bruno Damiani were tied for the most shots for the Union against Nashville, with two each.
