The Philadelphia Union are on the verge of signing Nacional forward Bruno Damiani for a club-record fee of $3.4 million, just a week before the start of their 2025 MLS season.
Great analysis with Jose! I'm glad you both point out how much Ernst is maximizing their roster limitations this year. I think every move makes a lot of sense. It seems like social media is getting really toxic in the fandom. I agree that Sugarman needs to spend more, but that's also a separate issue from team management and performance. I don't think running it back last year was the wisest move, but we also had a slew of really key longterm injuries and absences. I think we'll secure the playoffs. Maybe we'll be surprised with a new squad and manager refresh!
Thanks Jason for listening to the episode, appreciate the feedback! It’s always our goal to make the fanbase as informed as possible, and with the way that Ernst and the front office have maximized the roster, they’ve crushed it. The good thing is the roster should be in a really healthy place the next few windows, so it should be exciting times ahead for Union fans!

Thanks, José, for sharing that fun clip of our El Brujo showing Neymar JUNIOR who's boss.
